DESCRIPTION:Forum Monday February 10 2025 at Connections\, Low St\, Yandina. 7pm.\nBoth Marty Hunt MP and Cr David Law will be in attendance. \nDiscussion will focus on the following 3 topics: \n\nThe Walking Network Plan and the lack of an at-grade river crossing\nThe planned closure of Creightons Road and fire emergency concerns.\nThe call for a splash park in Yandina.\n\nAnnouncements\n\nFire ants have been discovered at North Arm and Maroochy Landcare has a representative from the Fire Ant Eradication Committee attending their next meeting on 17 February at 7.30 pm at Baptist Church’s Connections. YADCA members and neighbours are invited to attend.\nThe Dog Exercise Area Plan is open for comment until 28 February.\nYandina’s dog park is in the Plan. Dogs will be excluded from playing fields at sporting complexes and many environmentally sensitive areas.\nFurther monitoring and analysis “will inform dog access suitability” at Mount Ninderry Environment Reserve.\nYADCA has joined local politicians and other community groups in supporting the Nambour to Coolum Trail project.\nOn 30 January 2025\, Councillors voted to reject Suncoast Model Flyers development application for a base at Valdora.\nYADCA members are invited to Sunshine Coast Environment Council’s Green Drinks on 13 February 5.00 – 7.00 pm at Small Change Espresso Nambour.
