Our YADCA forum on Monday 13 April 2026 will focus on local issues with Cr David Law. The forum starts at 7.00 pm at the Baptist Church Connections Hall, 29 Low Street, Yandina.

The agenda will cover the following topics:

1. Off-street parking in Stevens Street.
2. Landscaping in Tea Tree Park 1, near the dog park.
3. Yandina’s Walking Network Plan. What’s next?
4. Discussion about the extension of bus route 631. (View map image here)
5. Plans for King George VI Memorial Park?
6. Gravel roads. What has replaced the Unsealed Roads Program 2016 – 2026 and is there a new “Unsealed Roads Priority Works Program” document?
7. What budget allocations are being considered for Yandina and District?
8. What is the future of Yandina’s heritage bridges? Are efforts being made to conserve and retain them?

For your information, the story in SCN about the Olympic Mountain Bike Centre on Yandina’s doorstep is interesting.

Of particular note is the following:

“Planning and design will also consider safe access via Yandina–Bli Bli Road and car parking, with park-and-ride options during Games time.

Transport and access arrangements will be finalised through Games Route Network Planning in partnership with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.”

Does that mean that they will look at the single lane bridge over Caboolture Creek? Maybe. Perhaps there is hope.

June Forum

Grantley Switzer, Sunshine Coast Program Lead – Brisbane 2032, will be our guest speaker at YADCA’s June forum. He should be able to provide more information about what is being considered in the lead up to the Olympics and Paralympics.
