YADCA Forum Monday November 11 2024, 7pm.

Our November forum is on this Monday 11/11/2024 at Connections, 29 Low Street, Yandina from 7.00 – 9.00 pm. Come and have input into issues that affect our town.

Anita’s November 2024 Development Monitor is available here. In summary, changes include:

1. Terella Brewery – impact assessment – medium impact industry, special industry, food and drink outlet, function facility, tourist attraction and outdoor sport and recreation. Multiple reports provided and three impact submissions.
2. Morgans Transport: SARA have approved road access at northern most part of site on Nambour Connection Road (no access on Wappa Falls Road.
3. Suncoast Model Fliers Incorporated: fire management plan and report from president of MAAQ (model aeronautical association Qld) advising site meets all CASA (civil aviation safety authority) requirements to operate RC planes to 400ft.
4. Hound Hotel, Kulangoor: additional info provided re acoustic amenity and landscape buffering.
5. Waste management service, Ninderry Road: Notice of appeal, planning and environment court.
6. Carwash: notice that development application not made.
7. Ayrshire Road (eight short term accommodation units): amended plans – engineering and landscape.

PLEASE NOTE
The event will involve the small section of Stevens Street, between Farrell Street and Railway Street/Scott Street being closed to all motor vehicle access from 6.30am till 2.00pm on the day. There will be no disruption to normal traffic, parking and public transport on surrounding streets ie Farrell Street, Railway St, Scott St or Conn St. Pedestrian access to the retail businesses in Stevens St will also not be affected.
