Walking Network Plan Yandina State School

Well done, Yandina! We have a commitment to footpath improvements.

YADCA’s advocacy for improvements in Yandina’s footpath network and resident’s input into the active transport surveys conducted by YADCA and Sidelines Traffic for Yandina State School has resulted in the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and TMR producing a Walking Network Plan for Yandina State School. It is one of only 7 so far for the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and an important step forward for Yandina.

The Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Brent Mickelberg MP, explains that the publication of the Walking Network Plan (WNP) allows the Council to apply for matching funding from TMR’s Walking Local Government Grants program. Grant applications will open again in early July 2025 and close at the end of September 2025. It is the Council’s intention to apply for grants for high priority infrastructure on primary walking routes for Yandina.
