The July YADCA Forum will be held on Monday July 13 at Connections, 29 Low Street Yandina, starting at 7.00 pm.

Guest speakers

The focus of the forum will be a discussion with Cr David Law and feedback from Marty Hunt MP  on PLANNING & THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDING. Yandina is growing but infrastructure is struggling to keep pace. We question how decisions are made and what needs to happen to ensure adequate infrastructure is factored into governments’ funding plans. Examples for consideration are:

• Pedestrian access over the South Maroochy River
• Active Transport upgrades
• Better Public Transport
• Access to the Olympic Mountain Bike Facility on Yandina – Bli Bli Rd

We also seek clarification on what criteria is used to prioritise maintenance and upgrade requests across the Shire. e.g. road re-seals and park upgrades.

Current Development Applications will be discussed. My thanks go to Ian who has been researching what has happened with development applications over the past 2 months. His notes are here. I encourage you to read them ahead of time and come with your questions.
