Dear YADCA Members and Visitors,

Cr David Law and MP Marty Hunt are both able to attend our forum on Monday 11 August, 7.00 pm at Baptist Church Connections, 25 Low Street, Yandina.

Take this opportunity to get an update on what is happening in our area and discuss issues important to you with our elected representatives.

The Management Committee would also welcome your observations and comments on Council’s Proposed Planning Scheme in order to inform YADCA’s submission.

AGM

In preparation for YADCA’s AGM on 8th September, I have attached a nomination form for management committee and support positions. YADCA is dependent on volunteers to keep it functioning effectively. If you, or someone you know would be able to help in some way, please nominate them.

Membership Renewal

It’s also time to renew your membership and a renewal form is attached. New members who joined this financial year will be considered a member for the 2025-2026 year.

Development Monitor

The August development report is attached thanks to Anita. You can use the application number to read the details on development.i. In summary:

• SW Yandina: Request for minor changes to the development permit.
• IGA: Amended architectural plans and minor changes to the development.
• Carwash: Minor change approval – change position of vacuum and dog wash bays.
• Kiamba function facility and short term accommodation: Information request identified 16 issues related to rural zoning codes.
• Stockland Halcyon: Approved operational works – engineering, roadworks and stormwater.
• 86-90 Farrell St: Proposed vehicle crossover on Ninderry Road for driveway to three lots on Harvest St (between Farrell St and Railway).
• Extensions to application timeframes: Yandina Hotel; Winston Timbers; Cabins on 81 Creightons Road; Terella Brewery.
